When using nylon hot-melt yarn on the upper, some problems may be encountered as follows:
Poor Bonding: The bonding effect of nylon heat-melt yarns may be affected by factors such as ambient temperature, pressure, and the skill of operating the heat-melt machine. If these factors are not properly controlled, the bond strength may be insufficient, causing the upper material to easily separate or break.
Poor temperature resistance: Nylon hot-melt yarn has a relatively low melting point, usually between 150°C and 200°C. If the upper encounters a high temperature environment during use, the yarn may melt due to its low melting point, resulting in loss of bonding effect.
Limited durability: While nylon heat-melt yarns can enhance the durability of the upper, it may be slightly less durable relative to other, more abrasion-resistant materials. With regular use and exposure to abrasion and friction, the yarns may fray or break, affecting the overall strength and longevity of the upper.
Applicability Limitations: Applications for nylon heat-melt yarns are generally suitable for synthetic leather, man-made textiles, and other materials that are compatible with the yarn. With materials that are not compatible with the yarn, bonding may be poor or even impossible.
Solving these problems requires proper control of temperature, pressure, and yarn selection during the fusing process to ensure that the bonding effect and durability meet expectations. During application, experimentation and testing are recommended to find the best combination of operation and materials.
